"Can't destroy the original" says Tender Games and announces his second album

Eight years after the release of his debut album, Ulrich Harrison aka Tender Games announces "Wicked Man", the first single from his new album "Ulrich Wilhelm".

A lot has happened in the world of Tender Games since the release of his debut, which was released in 2014 on the renowned Berlin based label Suol Music. In addition to releasing numerous solo singles and EPs, the songwriter, singer and music producer has also been involved in the work of other artists such as Fritz Kalkbrenner and North Naim.

With the launch of his own music label "Farm To Table", which is also the home of the upcoming album, he is taking another step towards complete independence. Musically, too, Tender Games is closer to himself than ever before. Incredibly honest and personal, "Ulrich Wilhelm" is about experiences and memories from his childhood, friendships and probably the most important anchor in his life: Family. This raw honesty can also be found on "A Hand" and "Wicked Man", the two songs on the first single release.

With "Wicked Man", Tender Games embarks on a journey into his father's past and life as a Jamaican immigrant. A journey dealing with the pain but also the strength that he and many other immigrants have experienced. It shows how extremely influential black culture has been on pop and art, and still is to this day:

"Came by the boat with the wicked man, worked on a field with a slave name, they were trying to break our spirits, right in the heart of the Caribbean.

Can't destroy the original, went right ahead and made our own shit, took some years and a lot of blood, all along they were trying to be us."

With "A Hand", Tender Games moves from the past, back to the present and everyday life. He describes the incredible violence behind verbal racism: "For me, such insults are an act of violence, to which I also always respond with violence."

"Cause there is violence in words too, you don't understand.
And the silence can hurt you, please lend me a hand.
Is it the colour of my skin, texture of my hair?
Am I just lucky to be strong, are my sisters scared?"
